The Houston Texans have confirmed that Arian Foster suffered an Achilles injury during the team's defeat to the Miami Dolphins.
The running back, who missed the start of the season with a groin injury, had to be helped from the field after sustaining the non-contact injury during the 44-26 defeat.
According to ESPN, the team's doctors suspect that the tendon is torn, which would rule the 29-year-old out for the remainder of the season.
Foster had 1,245 rushing yards and eight touchdowns for the Texans in 2014.
