Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has allegedly suffered another injury blow.
The 29-year-old has been restricted to just three substitute appearances this campaign courtesy of a number of fitness issues.
Muscle injuries have led to the left-back spending a sustained period on the sidelines, his most recent outing coming back on December 1.
However, there has been recent optimism that the England international could soon make an impact under Ruben Amorim having been eased back into training.
Amorim, himself, had acknowledged at a press conference last week that no risks would be taken on Shaw, who would be given extra time to build up strength on the training ground.

More time needed?
Nevertheless, as per the Daily Mail, Shaw is not in line for an immediate return courtesy of a setback behind the scenes.
The report alleges that United's medical staff are hopeful that the latest issue is 'not too serious' and he may be able to resume training next week.
With United only playing four times between now and March 6, Amorim may decide that there is minimum benefit in pushing Shaw too hard in the short term.
United have just lost Lisandro Martinez - another option for the left-hand side of a back three - for the remainder of the season due to a serious knee injury.
As a result of Patrick Dorgu being signed from Lecce, the Denmark international is in line to be drafted straight into the first XI by Amorim.
Even with Tyrell Malacia having been allowed to go out on loan, Noussair Mazraoui and Diogo Dalot remain as options at wing-back.

Does Shaw have a future at left wing-back?
Having barely played any football for a year and having to deal with continuous muscle problems, Shaw's days at full-back or wing-back may soon be considered over.
That could particularly be the case when Amorim uses a back three. Shaw could seamlessly slot into the left side of that trio upon his return.
Courtesy of United having reduced their squad numbers during the winter transfer window, Amorim needs as many bodies as possible when United will want to target winning the FA Cup and Europa League.
Providing that Dorgu can be used suitably, Shaw can fight Harry Maguire, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans for a spot in a deeper role.
