The Colts entered the match without starting quarterback Andrew Luck, who was ruled out of the contest with a shoulder injury.

However, backup Matt Hasselbeck managed to guide his side into field-goal range on the first drive of the game and Adam Vinatieri fired his kick between the posts from 49 yards.

The Jaguars got back into the game when Blake Bortles sent the ball long for Allen Robinson, who made a 48-yard reception to take his side to the goalline. However, Jason Myers was forced into action as the visitors failed to find the endzone, although the kicker tied the game at 3-3.

Jacksonville took the lead on their next possession as they turned the ball over from the Colts, and Bortles then drove his side into the redzone before the quarterback found Robinson for an eight-yard touchdown.

Indianapolis responded as they managed to win a string of penalties before Hasselbeck found tight end Coby Fleener in the endzone for a two-yard strike.

The Jaguars retook the lead just before the break when Myers added his second field goal of the game by sending his kick through the posts from 32 yards.

Neither side could add to the scoreline in the third as both offenses struggled to get into rhythm.

However, Hasselbeck found his form towards the end of the quarter to move his side into the redzone, and although they failed to score a touchdown, Vinatieri fired his kick through the posts.

The Colts spurned the chance to take the lead after Hasselbeck lead another solid drive, but Frank Gore fumbled the ball in the endzone and the Jaguars gathered to end the threat.

Gus Bradley's men managed to carve out an opportunity to win the match when Bortles moved into field-goal range, but Myers missed from 53 yards to send the contest into overtime.

Myers had a second chance to win the game for his team, this time from 48 yards. However, on this occasion he hooked his effort to the left to extend the match.

The Colts made Myers pay for his missed kicks when Hasselbeck led his side to the 10-yard line with the aid of Gore, and Vinatieri fired the 27-yarder through the posts.
