Half-Time Report: Kansas City Chiefs well on course for divisional round playoff

Kansas City Chiefs are dominating the Indianapolis Colts 31-10 at half time in tonight's NFL Wild Card round clash at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Kansas City Chiefs have opened up a 31-10 lead over the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Alex Smith threw the first of three touchdown passes to Dwayne Bowe after an 82-yard drive, with the wide receiver getting in between LaRon Landry and Darius Butler to make the catch.

Andrew Luck responded by firing seven out of seven passes on a perfect drive - the last to T.Y. Hilton on a go route down the seam for a 10-yard score.

The Chiefs edged ahead just before the end of the first quarter when Ryan Succop chipped between the posts from 19 yards after Cory Redding hauled down Knile Davis as he galloped towards the endzone.

Andy Reid's men surged 10 points clear when Smith went deep downfield on third down for Donnie Avery, who showed Greg Toler a clean set of heels in completing a 79-yard touchdown.

The visitors were back in the endzone just two minutes later, as Smith escaped the pocket and threw for Anthony Sherman to stroll home from four yards.

Adam Vinatieri shaved three points off the deficit for the Colts, but Davis piled on more points with a four-yard rush just before the break.
