Mike Wallace: 'We can't afford to be inconsistent'

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace is adamant that his side have to improve the level of their consistency on offense following their defeat to the Detroit Lions.

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Mike Wallace has insisted that his side can't afford to continue to be inconsistent on the offensive side of the ball.

The Dolphins scored 37 points against the San Diego Chargers last week, but scored just one touchdown against the Detroit Lions in their defeat at Ford Field.

"It's the same thing I tell you every week," Wallace told reporters. "We have to find our balance, man. We can't keep doing this on offense.

"We can't be up and down to be the team that we want to be. We have to be able to finish football games. Our defense played great once again."

Joe Philbin's side are 5-4 in their season following their defeat to the Lions.
