Ben Roethlisberger slams "ridiculous" exit talk

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger denies reports that he is looking for a move away from the franchise.

Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has branded speculation that he could leave the team as "ridiculous".

Reports have surfaced suggesting that Roethlisberger has grown disillusioned with the direction of the franchise and was considering asking the team for the trade during the off-season.

However, the 31-year-old insists that Pittsburgh is his "home" and that he has never considered leaving and has no plans to do so in the future.

"It's ridiculous. This is where I've always wanted to be. I don't want to play for anyone else. I'm a Pittsburgher - this is home. I'm proud to raise my kids here. I don't want to play for anyone else," Roethlisberger told reporters.

"When it comes to wanting to go somewhere else or anything like that, that's completely unacceptable. It's one of the most B.S. stories I've ever heard.

"I'm not quitting, and that means in more ways than one. I'm not quitting on anything, this season, this team, these fans. I'm going to give it everything I have. This is home."

The Steelers are currently bottom of the AFC North despite their 23-10 victory over the Buffalo Bills yesterday.
