San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore has insisted that the team will make the playoffs this season despite a disappointing run so far.
The 49ers are 4-4 for the season and they currently sit three games back of the Arizona Cardinals at the top of the NFC West, while they are also a game adrift of the Seattle Seahawks.
However, the veteran running back believes that the team will be able to overcome a tough schedule down the stretch and in turn they will make the playoffs.
"We're going to the playoffs," Gore said, according to CSN Bay Area.
"We're going to do it. We have great coaches. We have great guys. The last three years, we've been spoiled. That's where we want to go, to get to the post-season. Once everybody takes care of their jobs, we have a great shot."
The race for a spot in the post-season continues at the New Orleans Saints in week 10, although the visitors will need to end an 11-game home winning streak.
