Brandon Browner has reportedly turned down a deal to face a shortened ban for breaching the NFL's substance abuse policy.
The Seattle Seahawks cornerback is facing a one-year suspension, but is in the process of appealing against the decision.
Fox Sports reports that the league offered to reduce the suspension by almost three months, but that the 29-year-old elected to continue with his appeal.
Browner, who will become a free agent at the end of the season, has been ruled out of the team's game against the San Francisco 49ers later today with a groin injury.
