The Tennessee Titans have taken a 10-6 lead into the halfway stage of their NFL clash with the struggling Washington Redskins this evening.
The hosts took the lead on the opening drive of the game, although they were forced to settle for just a three-point score as Kai Forbath converted a 31-yard field goal.
Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins then fumbled the ball while being sacked, giving possession back to the Titans and allowing them to level the scores through a 36-yard Ryan Succop field goal.
Washington restored their three-point advantage midway through the second quarter as Forbath notched his second field goal of the night, once again slotting over from 31 yards.
They had a chance to extend the lead towards the end of the second quarter when Charlie Whitehurst's pass was intercepted by Bashaud Breeland, but Cousins gave it straight back to the Titans with a pick on the very next play.
That proved costly for the Redskins as Whitehurst and Kendall Wright combined for a 14-yard score with just over a minute left of the half to give the Titans the lead at the break.
