Tennessee Titans head coach Ken Whisenhunt has revealed that Marcus Mariota will be the club's starting quarterback next season if they select him with the second-overall pick in the 2015 Draft.
The Titans have been touted to pick the 21-year-old, who is widely regarded as the second-best quarterback available in the selection process outside of Jameis Winston, due to their struggles at the position in the 2014 season.
"If we pick him at number two, you definitely think he can be the day one starter," Whisenhunt told reporters.
"He was impressive. Just the short time we spent with him on the board, he was very good. We're still not finished with the evaluation process with these quarterbacks. It's going to really depend on where we end up feeling about these guys."
The Titans posted a 2-14 record in the 2014 campaign.
