Usain Bolt has suffered a significant blow in his preparations for the Olympic Games after sustaining a hamstring injury during the Jamaican trials.
The reigning 100m and 200m champion felt discomfort in both his first-round and semi-final races before opting to withdraw from the final.
The 29-year-old was later diagnosed with a grade-one tear of his hamstring but with the Games in Rio de Janeiro still a month away, he hopes to have recovered in time to defend his titles.
Bolt has indicated that he is targeting a return at the Anniversary Games in London on July 22.
