Mike Brown: 'Anthony Bennett must give every effort'

Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown says that rookie forward Anthony Bennett must put in effort on every play.

Mike Brown has said that he would like to see Anthony Bennett give effort on every play for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The top pick from this year's Draft had 10 rebounds during the 99-87 win over the Milwaukee Bucks, but did amass five personal fouls during his 22-minute appearance.

The head coach told reporters: "I don't expect anything from him but to give me effort every play. That's it. Whatever he does on top of that is great. It's real simple for him.

"He's a talented, talented, talented kid with great athleticism. His skill set is off the charts. He just has to make sure he takes care of his body, get some rest, eat the right way, stay in the gym and play with a big effort when he's out on the floor. If he does those things, I'll be happy.

"They have to understand how important each possession is. We talk about the commitment to the process. This process is not a weekly process or a monthly process. It's play-by-play-by-play type of process."

The Cavaliers play the Orlando Magic on Friday.
