Golden State Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson has been cleared to return to action just in time for the start of the NBA Finals.
The Warriors face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in a best-of-seven series starting Thursday, and Thompson has overcome concussion to be passed fit.
The 25-year-old said yesterday before the announcement that he was "extremely confident" of playing on Thursday.
The team then announced after practice that Thompson had completed the NBA's concussion protocol and was indeed good to go.
Golden State should also be able to welcome back forward Marreese Speights, who missed the Conference finals against the Houston Rockets after injuring his calf in game three of the Conference semi-finals against the Memphis Grizzlies.
