Indiana Pacers small forward Paul George has stated that his side ground down the Atlanta Hawks as they triumphed with a 4-3 first-round playoff win on Saturday.
George was the hero of game seven as he recorded a post-season, career-high 30 points, while adding 11 rebounds in the 92-80 victory at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
"At some point, something had to give as far as them having the legs to make jumpers," George stated after the contest.
"I just thought we grinded them down so much throughout this series that when you get to a Game Seven, those jump shots just weren't falling."
The Pacers now face the Washington Wizards in the semi finals on Monday.
