Irish boxer Brendan Irvine will take home silver after losing to Russian Bator Sagaluev in the men's light-flyweight final at the European Games.

The Russian won via a split points decision.

Muhammed Unlu of Turkey and Ukraine's Dmytro Zamotayev won bronze.

Irvine's silver represents Ireland's first medal of the Games.
