Stephen Bunting has insisted that his heavy UK Open defeat to Peter Wright is 'gone from his mind' as they prepare to meet in the Premier League on Thursday night.
The former Lakeside champion was thrashed 10-0 in the semi-finals in Minehead, but after returning to form in recent weeks, the Liverpudlian is hoping that he can produce a stronger display in Glasgow.
The 29-year-old told PDC.tv: "I'm hoping that he doesn't beat me to nil again and I can reverse the tables this week - I'll be ready for it.
"Straight after the game, it was gone out of my mind. If you'd taken me back three weeks, it would probably have been devastating to me, especially off the back of some heavy defeats in the Premier League.
"But my confidence is there and it was just one game. I can't take anything away from Peter, he's a fantastic player and he had one of those games."
A third successive win for Bunting could take him into the top four of the standings.
