Raymond van Barneveld has ended the unbeaten Premier League run of Michael van Gerwen with a 7-3 win over his Dutch compatriot in Aberdeen.
The defending champion capitalised on a number of missed doubles from the world number one to run out a convincing winner, with the result keeping him in contention for a playoff spot.
Dave Chisnall remains in second place despite a 7-3 defeat to Phil Taylor, who returned at the end of the evening to draw 6-6 with Stephen Bunting.
Taylor looked on course for a second triumph of the night, but after the Stoke-on-Trent thrower missed over half-a-dozen darts for the match, Bunting stepped in to hit double one.
Bunting had earlier suffered a 7-2 loss to Adrian Lewis, who moved to within a point of the top four, while Gary Anderson fought back from a 6-2 deficit to register a 6-6 draw with James Wade.
