Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has claimed that his side deserve their FA Cup win after overcoming adversity to end their nine-year trophy drought.
The Gunners fell 2-0 behind in the first 10 minutes of the final against Hull City, but rallied to draw level in the second half before Aaron Ramsey hit an extra-time winner.
Arteta told the club's official website: "We had some difficult years and it took a while to build this team and this spirit but I think yesterday was the best example of what it means for us and how much we want it.
"It's for everyone to deserve - especially for the fans because they've been terrific through the year again. Now it's time to enjoy it - that's what we fight for and we've got the first trophy for years."
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger confirmed that he will remain at the club next season and will reportedly sign a new deal before the start of the World Cup.
