Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is reportedly nearing a first-team comeback from an ankle injury for the end of this month.

The England international has not played for the Gunners this season due to a number of setbacks in his recovery from injury.

While Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger recently claimed that Wilshere could return before the end of the season, the player is believed to have informed his teammates that he is ready to enter the fray towards the end of the month, according to the Express.

A potential return to action for the 20-year-old could prove to be a boost for England as they prepare to head into the European Championships this summer.
