Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah plans to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club at the start of 2022, according to a report.

Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah is reportedly planning to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club at the start of 2022, as the Englishman prepares to secure a move away from North London.

The 22-year-old was strongly linked with a move during the summer transfer window, but the deadline passed with the striker still at the Emirates Stadium.

Nketiah's contract in the capital is due to expire next June, and according to The Sun, the forward is unlikely to pen a new deal with Mikel Arteta's side.

The report claims that the Gunners are now facing a massive loss on the Englishman, who will look to sign a pre-contract with a foreign club in January, and a number of Bundesliga clubs are thought to be interested.

Nketiah, who was linked with Crystal Palace late in the transfer window, was thought to have been valued by Arsenal at £20m earlier this summer before the club's asking price dropped to £12m.

The striker - yet to feature for Arteta's team in the early stages of the 2021-22 campaign - has scored 13 times in 65 first-team appearances for the Gunners.
