Stoke City reportedly decide to reject any interest in goalkeeper Jack Butland, who is said to be a target for Arsenal.

Stoke City have reportedly decided to keep goalkeeper Jack Butland at the Potteries, regardless of any bids which may be made for his signature.

Butland spent a year on the sidelines through injury, but he returned to make five appearances at the end of last season, as well as coming on as a second-half substitute for England against France earlier this month.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 24-year-old but according to the Stoke Sentinel, his club have no intention of parting ways with their stopper.

Butland has played just 52 times in all competitions since signing from Birmingham City for £4m in 2013, but Stoke are allegedly working on the basis that his valuation could increase significantly with a consistent spell in the team during the next campaign.

Chief executive Tony Scholes has previously claimed that they would demand in excess of £30m for Butland should any team make a formal bid.
