Pep Guardiola to tell Barcelona players of impending exit

Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola will hold a meeting with his players this morning to inform them of his decision to leave the club at the end of the season.

Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola is due to inform his players this morning that he intends to leave the Spanish giants at the end of the season.

Reports have suggested that the 41-year-old will call time on his career with the glittering club following an illustrious four-year stint at the Nou Camp.

It is believed that the Spaniard has chosen to stand down from his position due to tiredness from the intensity of managing one of the most highly-regarded teams in world football.

With conformation of an exit imminent, it has been suggested that Chelsea are keen to clinch Guardiola's signature but it has been reported that the successful boss will reject the chance to move to Stamford Bridge in favour of a sabbatical from the game.

It is understood that Guardiola will address the media with his official decision at 11am UK time.
