Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo has joined Portuguese outfit Benfica on a two-year loan deal.
The 20-year-old arrived at Barcelona from Toulouse in 2019 but has only turned out five times for La Blaugrana since, spending the 2019-20 campaign on loan at Bundesliga side Schalke 04.
Now, the France Under-20 international has completed another temporary move away from the club after penning a two-year loan deal with Benfica for a fee of £1.8m.
Todibo made 10 appearances in all competitions for Schalke last season, and the defender's loan move to Benfica reportedly includes an option to buy for €20m (£18.2m).
Fulham were allegedly interested in signing the 20-year-old for £16.3m, but Todibo will ultimately be plying his trade in Portugal for the next two seasons.
