Half-Time Report: Bayern Munich in control against Kaiserslautern

Bayern Munich lead Kaiserslautern 2-0 after 45 minutes of their DFB-Pokal semi-final at the Allianz Arena.

Goals from Bastian Schweinsteiger and Toni Kroos have given Bayern Munich a 2-0 lead against Kaiserslautern in their DFB-Pokal semi-final at the Allianz Arena this evening.

The hosts started strongly and came close to breaking the deadlock in the opening stages when Thomas Muller headed Schweinsteiger's cross onto the bar.

Bayern continued to dominate and took the lead in the 23rd minute through Schweinsteiger, who rose unmarked to head home from Arjen Robben's corner.

The Bavarians were in complete control and scored a second nine minutes later. Robben laid the ball off for Kroos on the edge of the box and the midfielder placed a low effort into the bottom corner past Tobias Sippel.
