Huddersfield Town striker Lee Novak decides to sign for fellow Championship side Birmingham City.

Birmingham City have secured the services of Lee Novak from Huddersfield Town on a three-year contract.

The 24-year-old had been offered fresh terms to remain with the Terriers, but having considered his options, the striker has opted to join his former boss Lee Clark in the Midlands.

"Coming to Birmingham City is another progression in his career. I gave Lee his opportunity in the Football League. For three years he was absolutely magnificent for me as the second striker, playing just off Jordan Rhodes," Clark told the club's official website.

"He's strong, he gets goals and I think he'll fit in really well with the new group we're putting together.

"The Blues crowd will take to him because they'll see the work ethic of the player. They'll see everything that he gives. He'll quickly establish himself as a popular player."

Novak came through at the Wallsend Boys Club, which produced other players such as Paul Gascoigne and Michael Carrick.
