Blackburn Rovers caretaker manager Gary Bowyer has claimed that the club's promising young players point the way towards a brighter future.
The Ewood Park outfit have dispensed with three managers during a tumultuous campaign on and off the pitch, which has seen Bowyer take caretaker charge of the club twice.
However, Bowyer has revealed that he has been impressed with the form of the club's young players, including Jordan Rhodes, Josh King, Josh Morris and on-loan Chelsea full-back Todd Kane.
"Jordan's 23 years of age and you add that to the young ones we've got playing in the team," Bowyer told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"Jake Kean is 22, Adam Henley is not 19 until June, Todd Kane has been on loan, he's 19 years of age. Grant Hanley is 21, Josh Morris was outstanding on Saturday and is 21, Jason Lowe is 21 and Jordan Rhodes is 23.
"So the core of the club is a good young core and that is something to be extremely proud of and to build on, that's for sure."
Blackburn travel to Birmingham City on Saturday.
