Mario Gotze set to leave Borussia Dortmund this month?

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze is reportedly set to leave the club over the summer after failing to agree a new contract with the club.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Gotze will reportedly leave the club over the summer after failing to agree a new contract with the club.

The German has been limited to a sporadic role under manager Lucien Favre, managing just 11 Bundesliga appearances so far this term.

Moreover, the arrival of Erling Braut Haaland from Red Bull Salzburg is expected to further limit his opportunities at Signal Iduna Park.

According to Bild, Gotze will depart Dortmund for a second time in the summer after refusing to accept a 30% cut to his wages.

The World Cup winner initially left Dortmund to complete a move to Bayern Munich for £31m in 2013, returning to the former in 2016.
