Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said that his side produced the "perfect away performance" in their 4-0 victory at Huddersfield Town this afternoon.
The win has put the Cherries on top of the Championship table after the first round of fixtures, much to the delight of the 36-year-old coach.
"It was great start for us today," he told BBC Sport. "The goal coming so early was a big lift and we really built on that.
"We were professional in our approach and saw the game out.
"In many senses it was the perfect away performance because we scored the goals at key times and looked resolute defensively."
Despite missing a penalty late on, Bournemouth's summer signing Callum Wilson scored a brace on his debut and Howe believes that the 22-year-old will continue to justify his £3m price tag.
"Callum Wilson took his goals very well. He showed his strength and pace and movement, so [it was] a great debut for him. The two goals will do his confidence the world of good."
Howe led Bournemouth to a surprise 10th-place finish in the Championship last season.
