Cardiff City midfielder Jordon Mutch admits that he is relieved to be back playing for the club after a frustrating season with injuries.

Cardiff City midfielder Jordon Mutch has admitted that he struggled to remain patient earlier in the season when he was suffering from a foot injury.

Mutch has featured in his side's last three Championship matches as they look to secure promotion to the Premier League, and the former Birmingham City has revealed that he is relieved to be involved in the club's remaining fixtures.

The 21-year-old told Cardiff City player: "It feels good to be back playing. I've had the ongoing foot problem and it's been an annoying season at times because I haven't been fully fit.

"But I'm feeling okay now and it's great to be playing a part in Cardiff's promotion chase. We are close now, but it's crucial we keep pushing to end of the season."

The England Under-21 international has made 18 Championship appearances for the Bluebirds this season.
