Cardiff City defender Ben Turner has revealed his delight at his side's promotion to the Premier League and is determined to be part of Malky Mackay's first-team plans next season.
The Bluebirds ensured that they would be promoted as champions of the Championship as they drew 1-1 with Burnley on Saturday following Hull City's failure to beat Bristol City on Friday.
Turner told the club's official website: "I'm sure the Gaffer appreciates what everyone has done for him this season, but next season is a fresh start, it's a new league and a new challenge.
"He will be putting the people on the pitch who he believes will be good enough to stay in and kick on in that division.
"If you are not one of those, then that will be it. We will enjoy this promotion for what it is, but I will work hard and try and be one of those people who is on the pitch in the Premier League."
Turner has made 29 appearances for Cardiff this season, scoring one goal.
