Chelsea manager Frank Lampard reportedly has three goalkeepers to choose from for Tuesday's meeting with Sevilla after Edouard Mendy's quick return to training.

Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy could reportedly recover from a thigh problem in time to start in goal for the Blues against Sevilla on Tuesday.

The former Rennes man picked up the injury whilst on international duty with Senegal and was forced to miss Chelsea's 3-3 draw with Southampton, in which Kepa Arrizabalaga came under heavy criticism for his performance once again.

Frank Lampard also has the option of veteran shot-stopper Willy Caballero for Chelsea's first Champions League match of the season, but according to The Telegraph, Mendy is available after returning to training sooner than expected.

The 28-year-old is said to have trained well over the past couple of days and Lampard is now facing a dilemma over which player to select for the visit of Europa League champions Sevilla, with Mendy's first Premier League outing for the Blues seeing him keep a clean sheet in a 4-0 trouncing of Crystal Palace.

Ahead of Sevilla's trip to Stamford Bridge in midweek, Los Palanganas manager Julen Lopetegui has claimed that Chelsea could go all the way in this year's Champions League.
