Cesar Azpilicueta: 'Chelsea must respond'

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta insists that his team must bounce back from the defeat at West Ham United when they travel to Huddersfield Town.

Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta has insisted that his team must bounce back from the defeat at West Ham United when they travel to Huddersfield Town on Tuesday night.

The Blues suffered a 1-0 loss to West Ham on Saturday afternoon, and are currently 14 points off Premier League leaders Manchester City entering their clash with Huddersfield.

A win for Antonio Conte's side at the John Smith's Stadium would move them level on points with second-placed Manchester United, and Azpilicueta has called on his side to "answer in a strong way".

"Big teams, after a defeat, we have to answer in a strong way," Azpilicueta told Chelsea's official website. "We know it is a tough place. We have the character and hopefully we can get the three points.

"We are in December and we cannot think more than this. We have a tough game against Huddersfield, we will try to get the three points on the road and get back to winning ways and keep going, keep pushing."

Chelsea have dropped points in three of their eight away Premier League matches this season.
