Branislav Ivanovic expects "creative" Chelsea this season

Branislav Ivanovic believes that Chelsea will be "more creative" in attack this season thanks to the club's new signings.

Branislav Ivanovic has backed Chelsea to be "more creative" in attack this season following the club's activity in the transfer window.

The Blues have already been busy in adding to their ranks this summer, with Cesc Fabregas, Diego Costa, Didier Drogba and Filipe Luis all arriving at Stamford Bridge.

Ivanovic now believes that Chelsea will be competing for plenty of trophies during the upcoming campaign thanks to their improved squad.

"I think we will be much more creative in attack with the new players that we got in the summer," he told Slovenian sports website Nogomania.

"Now we have a lot of players that are really strong in attacking moves, so I believe that we will be really strong. And I also hope that we will be strong enough to win some trophies."

Chelsea start the new Premier League campaign away to Burnley on August 18.
