Chelsea defender Ashley Cole launches a scathing attack on the FA after they claimed that his evidence in the John Terry racism case evolved over time.

Chelsea defender Ashley Cole has slammed the FA's report over the John Terry racism case.

Terry was handed a four-match ban and fined £220,000 for allegedly racially abusing Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand.

Cole appeared as a character witness for Terry during his criminal trial, but the FA's report claimed that his evidence evolved to include the word "black", having the effect of "bolstering Mr Terry's claim that the words that he spoke to Mr Ferdinand were not said by way of an insult, but as repetition and forceful denial of what Mr Ferdinand had accused him of saying".

However, Cole took exception to these claims, tweeting: "Hahahahaa, well done #fa I lied did I, #BUNCHOFTWATS."

Cole is part of England's squad to face San Marino and Poland on October 12 and 16 respectively.
