Chelsea reportedly identify Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana as a possible replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga, who is supposedly wanted by Valencia.

Chelsea have reportedly identified Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana as a possible replacement for Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Spaniard has suffered mixed fortunes during his time at Stamford Bridge, although Kepa has regained his place in Frank Lampard's starting lineup over Willy Caballero since the Premier League returned.

Nevertheless, Kepa's future continues to be shrouded in uncertainty ahead of the summer transfer window, and Chelsea are said to be making contingency plans in case the 25-year-old does seek pastures new.

The goalkeeper is reportedly on Valencia's radar ahead of a proposed two-year loan move, and The Mirror reports that Chelsea could look to secure a deal for Onana should Kepa return to his native Spain.

The Blues have been previously credited with an interest in the £30m-rated Cameroon international, but they would supposedly have to fend off interest from Paris Saint-Germain for Onana's signature.

Lampard's side have already been heavily active in the transfer market and are prepared to welcome Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner to the English capital ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.

Onana's current deal at Ajax will expire in the summer of 2022.
