Steve Bruce: 'Robert Snodgrass perfect for Hull City'

Forward Robert Snodgrass is the right type of player to take Hull City forward, according to manager Steve Bruce.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has insisted that summer signing Robert Snodgrass is just the kind of player who can have a positive impact next season at the KC Stadium.

Bruce said that targeting players who are entering the prime of their career, and who have a number of different talents, is the way to take the club forward after successfully surviving after promotion.

"I spoke with Chris Hughton recently and he said we've got Norwich City's best player [in Snodgrass]. He ripped us to bits down at Norwich last year.

"I've always seen him because he played with my son at Leeds and I always liked him. There's a natural ability to beat a player and he's got great deliveries. He's 26 and in his prime. We were short in wide areas last year and he'll give us a supply line."

Snodgrass scored 12 league goals in two seasons at Norwich.
