Robbie Brady's goal earned Hull City all three points against Reading at the KC Stadium.
The home side dominated for much of the first-half, but they were unable to get past Adam Federici in the Reading goal.
The deadlock was broken on 73 minutes when Brady struck from 25-yards to score Hull's first home league goal of the season.
The Tigers travel to Peterborough United on Saturday, September 10, while the Royals welcome Watford to the Madjeski Stadium.
