Preview: Inter Milan vs. Fiorentina

Sports Mole looks ahead to Thursday's Serie A clash between Inter Milan and Fiorentina at the San Siro.

There will be few clubs in Serie A right now that will be in a more buoyant mood than Walter Mazzarri's Inter Milan.

The Blue and Blacks are unbeaten from their first four matches of the new season and head into Thursday's home clash with Fiorentina on the back of a 7-0 victory over Sassuolo.

Perhaps the most pleasing aspect of that win from an Inter point of view was the two goals scored by Diego Milito. The Argentine striker has only recently returned to action following a serious knee injury and could now be included in the starting lineup for the visit of La Viola.

Aside from that, it is unlikely that Mazzarri will make too many alterations to his side.

Away outfit Fiorentina will be without marksman Mario Gomez for the trip because of a knee injury, but they do have Giuseppe Rossi. The former Manchester United striker has recovered from two cruciate ligament complaints to score five goals so far this campaign.

There could also be a place in the team for ex-Spanish international winger Joaquin, who joined the club from last season's Champions League quarter-finalists Malaga in the summer.

Both teams will go into the clash locked on 10 points, but Inter are third and one place above Vincenzo Montella's men on goal difference.
