Naby Keita, Joe Gomez return to Liverpool training

Joe Gomez and Naby Keita are pictured back in Liverpool training as they step up their recoveries from calf and thigh injuries respectively.

Liverpool have been handed two major injury boosts with Joe Gomez and Naby Keita returning to training ahead of Saturday's clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Gomez has missed the Reds' last six games in all competitions due to a calf issue, while Keita missed all of November with a thigh problem sustained against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Klopp was confident that both men would be fit to return to training at some point next week, but the duo appear to be ahead of schedule in their recoveries after being pictured in Thursday's session.

However, it would be a surprise to see Gomez or Keita fit to return for the trip to Molineux, where Harvey Elliott, Roberto Firmino and Curtis Jones will definitely miss out.

Liverpool occupy third place in the Premier League table after Wednesday's thrashing of Everton, which saw them break a 94-year-old goalscoring record in English football.
