Jordan Henderson hails Liverpool resilience

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson hails the side's resilience after they came back twice to beat Fulham 3-2.

Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson hailed the side's resilience after they twice came back to beat Fulham 3-2 at Craven Cottage on Wednesday.

The home side took the lead twice as goals from Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho pegged the strugglers back.

Steven Gerrard scored a stoppage-time winner from the penalty spot and Henderson praised the side for their mental toughness.

He told the Liverpool Echo: "It's a great result for us. To go behind twice and come back and get the three points was massive for us.

"We really showed our character to fight back like that. Even when we were 2-1 down, we still thought we could win the game.

"We always kept believing that we could win it. We knew there was still time. We kept pressing and thankfully got the goal. Dan did really well to draw the foul and win the penalty, and Steven stuck it away brilliantly."

The result takes the Reds to within four points of leaders Chelsea in the Premier League.
