Luis Suarez: 'Too early for title talk'

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez warns that it is too early for his side to be thinking about winning the title despite having the chance to move top of the table on Saturday.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has insisted that it is too early to talk about his side potentially challenging for the Premier League title this season.

The Reds have been in fine form so far this campaign and currently sit just two points off the top of the Premier League table after 16 games, thanks largely to 17 league goals from Suarez.

However, the Uruguayan striker, who was named as the 2013 Player of the Year at the Supporters' Federation Awards earlier this evening, believes that the title talk is still a few weeks off and is keen to focus on the matches in their immediate future first.

"I think it's too early to say. If we continue this level the next two or three weeks, we can win the league or we can finish in the top four," Sky Sports News quotes Suarez as saying.

"It's important we concentrate and focus on the next game. We know that after Cardiff we have two very, very big games. That will be important to what comes next."

Liverpool, who thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 5-0 yesterday, would move top of the table with another three points against Cardiff City on Saturday.
