Mamadou Sakho is reportedly still valued at £30m by Liverpool, but the Reds have received a number of enquiries and are optimistic of recouping the full asking price.

Liverpool are reportedly refusing to budge on their £30m valuation for defender Mamadou Sakho but are confident that an interested side will soon come forward.

The 27-year-old was a big hit during his half-season loan at Crystal Palace in 2016-17, being nominated for the club's Player of the Year gong despite featuring just eight times.

Palace are said to have withdrawn any interest in signing the Frenchman due to the large asking price, but the Liverpool Echo reports that a number of clubs are still weighing up bids.

It is claimed that the Reds have received some enquiries and, in the wake of rivals Everton paying up to £30m for centre-back Michael Keane, are optimistic of the same amount being tabled between now and the end of August.

Sakho, under contract at Anfield until 2020, is currently training away from his Liverpool teammates as he recovers from a knee injury that cut short his season with Palace last time out.
