Sports Mole looks at how Manchester City could line up in Tuesday's Champions League clash with Copenhagen.

Manchester City will again be missing Kyle Walker, Kalvin Phillips and John Stones for Tuesday's Champions League contest with Copenhagen.

Walker and Phillips face battles to be available for England at the World Cup due to recent groin and shoulder operations respectively, but Stones is now in the latter stages of his recovery from a hamstring issue.

The Citizens have no fresh injury concerns from their 4-0 win over Southampton in the Premier League on Saturday, but head coach Pep Guardiola will make changes for this affair.

There will certainly be a temptation for Guardiola to make seven or eight alterations due to the number of games that will take place before the season breaks for the World Cup.

However, Man City are looking to book their spot in the next round of the Champions League with two games to spare, so it should be a strong side that takes to the field.

Sergio Gomez impressed against Copenhagen in the reverse match last week and could now come into the side at the expense of Manuel Akanji.

Meanwhile, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish could also be introduced into the starting XI, with Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez potentially dropping down to the bench.

Julian Alvarez is also pushing for a spot in the side but might have to accept a substitute role again, with Erling Braut Haaland, who scored his 15th Premier League goal of the campaign on Saturday, leading the line.

Manchester City possible starting lineup: Ederson; Cancelo, Dias, Ake, Gomez; Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne; Grealish, Haaland, Foden
