Sergio Aguero: "We can still turn it around"

Sergio Aguero concedes that Man City deserve their criticism for underperforming but insists that the Premier League champions can still turn their season around.

Sergio Aguero has conceded that Manchester City have to accept their criticism for underperforming, but has insisted that they can still salvage their season.

The Citizens have been knocked out of the Capital One Cup, are on the brink of Champions League elimination and could be nine points behind leaders Chelsea in the Premier League by the time that they visit Queens Park Rangers on Saturday evening.

Aguero admits that City's detractors have a point considering the amount of money that has been invested into the squad, but has stressed that there is still time for the English champions to turn things around.

"Of course we understand the people who have been criticising us," he told BBC Sport. "The club invests in top players and the fans want to see more from us.

"But we still have time to put things right. The supporters here are more respectful and patient but they still expect a bit more from all of us. We can still turn it around, though."

The Argentine striker, 26, has scored 12 goals in 15 appearances in all competitions this season.
