Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand praises the addition of Japanese international Shinji Kagawa.

Rio Ferdinand has taken the time to welcome Shinji Kagawa to Manchester United.

The Red Devils confirmed earlier today that the Borussia Dortmund midfielder would become their player on July 1, as long as a medical is passed and a work permit obtained.

"Welcome to Shinji Kagawa for his transfer to Man Utd. Heres to a succesful time here bro!" Ferdinand wrote on Twitter.

Kagawa himself refused to discuss his transfer earlier today, choosing instead to talk about his upcoming matches with Japan.
