David Moyes: 'I'm still getting to know Manchester United squad'

Manchester United manager David Moyes says that he is still getting to know the club's squad following their worst start to a season for 24 years.

David Moyes has said that he is still learning about Manchester United's squad, having taken charge at the club during the summer.

The Premier League champions, who are currently 12th in the table, have recorded their worst start to a season in 24 years.

In a press conference ahead of tomorrow's Champions League clash with Shakhtar Donetsk, the manager said: "I've been in situations very similar to this at my old clubs, Everton and Preston North End. You do the right things and I haven't changed what I've done. You continue to do the things and the results will come, there's no doubt about that.

"We're getting to know [the players] and understanding them much more. We're getting a feel for them and the one thing I do know is that they are top players and that will never change.

"Manchester United have always had big squad of players and it's my job to use them and find out what is suitable. And, as I said earlier, I'm getting to know them much better."

United have won just two of their six league games so far this season.
