David Moyes may recall loan stars

Manchester United manager David Moyes hints that he will consider recalling some of the club's young loan stars if he cannot find suitable permanent January additions.

David Moyes has hinted that he will consider recalling his young loanees if he cannot find the right additions for his Manchester United squad in January.

The Scot is expected to add to the Red Devils ranks in the New Year, having only made one notable summer signing by returning to former club Everton to bring in Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini for £27m.

He has again admitted that he would like to be active in the upcoming transfer window, but has suggested that he may look to improve his side by promoting from within and offering several prospects the chance to shine at first-team level.

"We will try [to do some business] in January," Moyes told reporters.

"I am quite actively looking at our own boys. The likes of Jesse Lingard, Nick Powell and Ryan Tunnicliffe.

"They are the future. They are part of the club. They have been in the system. We hope they might be able to come back and help if we need it in January."

Powell is on a temporary deal at Wigan Athletic and Tunnicliffe has been impressing at Ipswich Town this season, while striker Lingard scored four times on his Birmingham City debut.
