Ryan Giggs eyes future Wales job

Manchester United's Ryan Giggs admits that he wants to one day manage Wales, after recently joining the coaching staff at Old Trafford.

Manchester United veteran Ryan Giggs has admitted that he wants to one day manage Wales when his playing career comes to an end.

Although still plying his trade in the Premier League, the 39-year-old winger recently joined the coaching staff at United and Giggs revealed that he has designs on eventually managing his country.

"If you've played for your country and then you go into management then yes, of course [you would want to manage them]," the Daily Mail quotes him as saying.

"It's like when you are a player starting out. You want to play for the team you supported or you're at. I did that. You want to play for my country. I did that. And it's similar to being a manager.

"But I'm no fool. You can't just walk into a job because you had a career in the game. You have to be deserving of managing your country because it's a massive honour."

Giggs won 64 caps for Wales and retired from international football in 2007.
