Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani is reportedly keen on joining Manchester City after rumours that he fell out with teammate Neymar.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Edinson Cavani is reportedly holding out for Manchester City to make a move for him.

The Uruguayan international's future at Parc des Princes has come under the spotlight after he and world-record signing Neymar had an on-pitch spat last month.

During the second half of PSG's 2-0 victory over Lyon on September 17, Cavani and Neymar argued over who would take a penalty, which was eventually missed by the former.

According to Don Balon, the former Napoli hitman believes that he would be prolific in front of goal for City and is leaning towards Pep Guardiola's side due to the unlikelihood of signing for Real Madrid, Manchester United or Everton.

Madrid tend to play just the one up front and have a wealth of options to choose from, while Cavani could struggle to get picked ahead of Romelu Lukaku at Old Trafford.

Everton may find it difficult to convince Cavani to join due to their current predicament, which has left them just two points above the relegation zone after eight games.

There have not been any suggestions as yet that Man City consider Cavani as a future transfer option.
