Speculation regarding Jadon Sancho's proposed move to Manchester United gathered pace on Tuesday following a message posted by Marcus Rashford on Twitter.

Marcus Rashford appeared to confirm Jadon Sancho's imminent move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United in a late-night Twitter post.

Sancho has been strongly tipped to join the Red Devils this summer, a year after a move collapsed due to a failure to reach an agreement on the player's valuation.

It was reported on Tuesday that Dortmund are ready to accept a £73m bid from United, and Rashford has only added further fuel to the speculation.

Rashford was asked to "announce Sancho" on social media, to which the United attacker responded: "Yes x".

The message was sent at 22:51 BST, a few hours after England's famous 2-0 win over Germany to book a place in the Euro 2020 quarter-finals.

However, the England international appeared to suggest on Wednesday morning that his account had been hacked.
